The All Bunky Chollox v Sam
A better evening for a run about. The second match for the
ALL BUNKY CHOLLOX and it seems the opposition is of a higher calibre. The match
started at a pace we didn’t see in our first match so the back foot became a
familiar place. ...
It may look like a shot from the outstanding legendary
defender No.3, but it’s the Bunky’s Goal keeper Lee that kept this one out!
Obviously better than the infamous John Defraine attempt at picking up an easy
pass-back all those years ago!
We had a game plan... let the ball do the talking. Or perhaps
it was more like... play it long up field ‘cos their defence wasn’t their strong
point! The long ball was working and we were keeping up! They scored... we
scored... they scored... we scored...
it reached 4-4 in the second half but that’s when things
started to fall apart... tired legs meant our defending turned into more of a
goose step...
Battles we hard fought...
But there were signs of promise...
There was even signs of sycronised dance moves during fast
play....
But with tired legs there were a couple of sloppy periods at
the back and we just couldn’t hold them off.
A final score line of 4-6 was disappointing, especially as
three or four of their goals could have been avoided. But they were a better
team and perhaps the next time we play them, we’ll show them who’s the boss!
