Bunky Chollox no.9 Sean de Fraine helped Athletico Shenley in progressing to the 2nd day of the World Cup 6 a-side tournament.  The tournament held at Loughton was contested by 64 teams, Athletico playing as Japan!  After a no show by Portugal (was their plane late?) resulted in a 1-0 forfeit win Shenley (aka Japan) drew their 2nd game before winning their last to make it through to the finals on the Sunday as league winners.  No one was shocked at their fine performances except for their manager Craig Neale whom already had other plans arranged for the 2nd day!!

The rain came down on day 2 and results didn't go Japan's way.  An early much needed bath resulted
after playing in the worst rain of the year to hit usually sunny Loughton.

Athletico, watched by their new sponsor, had seen enough and withdrew his offer of sponsorship to complete on a much more realistic chance of silverware by sponsoring the might Bunky Chollox.  Sean did explain Bunky's already had a shirt deal, but the MD was more than happy to sponsor the 2nd Kit on the off chance it gets at least one appearance a year. 

The MD congratulated Chris, Gary, Matt, Lee, Pat, Grant and Neil on some fine performances and advised them to look for a club that could take them forward before handing over the new shirt to Bunky's no.9.
